If you like storing files and application shortcuts on your desktop, give Stardock’s Fences a shot. This utility creates rectangles (“fences”) on your desktop. You can create as many fences as you want, name them, and assign different colors to them. Move files, folders, and shortcuts in and out of these fences with drag and drop. If you make a fence too small for everything you’ve placed in it, that fence will gain a scroll bar you can use to scroll through its contents.
You can add and organize apps, widgets, and shortcuts on your home screens, move items to different home screens and add new home screens when you need them. You can also remove apps, widgets, and shortcuts that you don’t need. To add a widget on iOS 14 and later, long-press an app or an empty screen area until the icons wiggle. Tap the Add (+) button in the upper-left corner and choose a widget from the menu. On both Android and iOS, you can also sort app icons into folders on your home screen, which is handy, say, for corralling all your photography apps. To create an app folder, just drag one icon on top of another.

Here are some tips to declutter your iPhone without sacrificing convenience. For this Home Screen layout, remove every app from your Home Screen and send them to the App Library. You can then choose to add a single app or folder to the Dock. Or, if you prefer, keep your Home Screen completely empty and enjoy a clear view of your wallpaper.
Search for an app in the App Library
Use the Shortcuts app to create black, white, or gray icons for your favorite apps. Some system apps like Settings and Camera already use grayscale icons, so you don't need to worry about those. When you want to open an app, swipe down on the Home Screen or tap Search and type the first letter or two of the app you're after. Your iPhone should find it almost immediately; just tap it in the search results to open it. You can always go rooting through the App Library as well.
That's where I store my Productivity folder so that I never have to swipe through Home Screen pages to find it when I'm in a hurry. To remove an app, widget, or shortcut from a home screen, touch and hold the app, widget, or shortcut, then drag the item to the Remove bar at the top of the screen. To add a home screen, touch and hold an app, widget, or shortcut. Hold your finger until a new home screen appears, then release your finger to place the app, widget, or shortcut on the new home screen.
Reorder pages on your Home Screen
Opt for one that makes you smile whenever you see it, and that isn't obstructed by your chosen method of laying out your Home Screen icons and folders. With iOS 16, there are also a lot of new and fun options for customizing your Lock Screen to give it a unique look. For now, I've gone with a pretty basic wallpaper of my dog, Scarlet. Not to worry, it's still pretty easy to navigate, as it comes with a search function. This means you can hide apps in the App Library to remove them from your Home Screen but still be able to find them when you need to. My primary Home Screen is filled with only widgets, and I rearrange them according to what I think looks best at any given time.
OK. Apple also provides a bar at the bottom of the screen with anchored apps that display no matter which home screen you’re on. To move apps around on an iPhone screen, press down on an app, then tap Edit Home Screen — all the apps will jiggle.

These are my favorite methods to remove clutter, keep things easy to find, and add a little bit of visual appeal to your iPhone Home Screen. I love my apps and widgets, but I can't stand clutter.
Is your phone’s home screen jampacked with pages of apps in random order — including some apps you never use? Sure, you can always find the program you need with search or the voice assistant, or by browsing the app drawer. But app access can be quicker if you have your icons arranged in a useful order and you take advantage of shortcut menus and widgets. Apple also added a screen that does folder organization for you. Keep swiping left until you get to the last screen; it’s called App Library, and it automatically groups similar apps together. You can also tap the App Library search bar at the top to see all your apps listed alphabetically.
When you install new apps, they're added to your App Library automatically, and you can change whether new apps also appear on your Home Screen. The other cool thing is that fences always remember their position on your desktop. If you’ve ever played a game and had the resolution of your monitor changed on you, you know that can mess with the icons on your desktop. With your icons in fences, you don’t have to worry about that. If you’d like to clean up your desktop quickly, you can select everything on your desktop and then drag and drop them into a folder. You can then move items back onto your desktop as you need them.
The Dock loses its importance if you keep all your apps on a single screen instead of having them spread across multiple pages. So use a clever trick to hide your iPhone Dock instead. Thought you were stuck with the grid layout on your iPhone Home Screen? You can utilize iEmpty to create blank icons that match your wallpaper, then use those icons to create spaces in your Home Screen layout.
Unable to choose between sorting icons by style or classifying them by color? Take the librarian's option and arrange your apps in alphabetical order instead. This opens up a world of possibilities, including the option of spelling your initials with the app icons. You may also need to remove apps from your Home Screen for some of the layouts below. To do this, tap and hold an app to open a popup menu, choose Remove App, then choose Remove from Home Screen. This sends the app to your iPhone App Library instead.
